Greetings, IGDA and other members of the game industry,

We here at the IGDA are wishing you a wonderful Pride Month! Throughout this month our LGBTQ+ SIG will be celebrating queer game developers on their Twitter and other platforms, so be sure to look out for these spotlights.

To further support the inclusivity and diversity of our industry, we are also proud to announce that our newest whitepaper, “Guide for Game Companies: How to Create and Sustain a Positive Work Culture”, developed in partnership with Facebook Gaming. This white paper dives into the best practices for developing and sustaining a positive and productive team through the use of proactive culture development, support of inclusivity and diversity, and team development resources and tools.

We hope that this white paper not only empowers studios to create a healthier and more productive workplace culture, and also leads to the betterment of our industry as a whole. Please use this new resource to empower yourself and your company to consider how to best support those around you, and together we can lead our industry forward.

This last week we also bid a fond farewell to Tristin Hightower, our Director of Chapter and SIG Operations and an important staff member to the IGDA for the last 8 years. Many of our members, volunteers, and leaders have been uplifted by her help and warmth. Be sure to keep up with her on social media, as she will be announcing her next exciting adventure soon! We wish her the best and will miss her dearly.

In the short term, I will be overtaking Chapter and SIG relationships and operations, including starting an overhaul, expansion, and simplification of our current documents and processes for Chapters and SIGs.
