IGDA Incubation SIG launched. Aims to create a transformative Impact on the Game Development Ecosystem

In a landmark move to strategically bolster the worldwide game development ecosystem, IGDA Incubation SIG officially launches today.

The SIG, a global alliance comprising over 80 gaming incubators and accelerators from more than 50 countries, is set to act as a key catalyst for start-ups and entrepreneurs in the gaming industry on a global scale.

Sho Sato, co-founder of iGi, chairs the SIG, with a governance structure that includes an international board comprising a core committee along with seven regional leaders. The committee features Pedro Santoro Zambon as Vice Chairman, Tiziano Giardini as Treasurer, Olle Pridiuksson as Communication Leader and notable industry figures like Jason Della Rocca, Kadri Harma, and JP van Seventer as Senior Advisors. Regional leadership includes Douglas Ogeto for Africa, Deepak M for Asia, Suvi Kiviniemi for Europe, Facundo Mounes for Latin America, Ashraf Abi-Said for the Middle East, Hugo Abel Castro Duarte for North America, and Vee Pendergrast for Oceania.

Incubation SIG aims to be more than just a network; it’s a movement set to revolutionize game development. By leveraging events, collaboration, and strategic partnerships, the association serves as a beacon for innovation, support, and growth for game dev start-ups worldwide.

The transformative agenda of Incubation SIG is to foster a nurturing environment for the gaming community and pave the way for groundbreaking developments in the industry. Further, Incubation SIG is set to not just participate in but also organize major international events.
