Dear Game Dev, 

I hope you’re doing well. I cannot believe it is already nearing the end of May. Where has 2023 gone so far?

I hope everyone has been doing exceptionally well thus far into the year. I know a lot of exciting initiatives are going on, especially one that we just launched at the IGDA last week!

The IGDA developer satisfaction survey, also known as the DSS, is officially live and we hope you can spread the word so that we get many developers to share their experiences, perceptions, attitudes and beliefs about the industry. 

It’s imperative that we have this developer-level data to guide us and show us where the gaps are in our industry–to show us where the opportunities are for improvement. The DSS also helps us gain insight into important topics like whether people are gaining access to resources they need. Please share the word about the Developer Satisfaction Survey which is open until 10 June 2023. 

In other news, we are gearing up towards a gamescom presence and we’ll have some more information about that soon. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week and a wonderful rest of your May, because this year is flying by!
