The IGDA Climate SIG is kicking off the latest entry of its Sustainable Futures MicroJam in September, and everyone from the IGDA community is invited!
The goal of the jam is to create game content (not necessarily a full game) focused on envisioning positive, sustainable futures. No previous knowledge on sustainability is necessary! This time, there are 5 award titles up for grabs for entries, from Cutest Critters to Most Thought-Provoking. Game content can be concept art, a paper prototype, an explorable 3D environment, or anything in-between.
The Jam will run from September 1-15, 2024 in the IGDA Climate SIG Discord server. |

Funding Opportunity Available to Port to AndroidIGDA & IGDA Foundation have a funding opportunity available for studios/teams who are considering (or in the process of) porting their game to Android. Up to three games will be selected to receive resources (of up to $20,000) needed to complete an Android port of their game by May 1, 2025.
To qualify for the opportunity:
- The game must have generated at least $10,000 per month over the last 6 months; and
- The team must consist of underrepresented developers (e.g., diversity across race, gender, sexuality, disability, or other factors).
You may apply for this opportunity here. We simply need a few details about your game, your team, and your capacity to finish the port by the end of the year.
It would be great to support games from the IGDA community, so please consider applying today! |
