Sponsor Highlight: PlayEveryWare

20 Feb 2020

Today we are proud to shine a spotlight on our IGDA Studio Affiliate, PlayEveryWare. Since 2009, PlayEveryWare has collaborated with developers and publishers to bring their games to multiple platforms. They are located in Seattle, WA, home to one of the strongest and most active game development communities. PlayEveryWare’s goal is to build meaningful relationships, whether that is with their clients, their own team, or people throughout the community. Thomas O’Connor, Studio Director, noted, “Being part of such a great community has shown us how important relationships are to being successful at making games.”

PlayEveryWare has helped launch over twenty-five titles to various consoles. Their most recent work includes Risk of Rain 2, Castle Crashers Remastered, and the Hello Neighbor series. Currently, they are working with Hopoo Games and Gearbox Publishing to seamlessly merge and add new content and features to Risk of Rain 2 on all consoles.

Acting on player and publisher feedback in collaboration with a wide variety of teams has honed their skills in improving the player experience across all consoles.

“Each game we work on comes with its own set of unique challenges, that is why we strive for our team to be composed of people with different backgrounds. We believe through our shared creativity we are able to solve these unique challenges and deliver the best results. In September, we moved to a new studio in Georgetown to accommodate our rapid growth over the last year. With the addition of new team members and clients, we have been given the opportunity to take on more projects to share with console players” said O’Connor.

“Seattle’s game development community has been a very important part of PlayEveryWare’s success. This year we had the honor of being a sponsor of the Seattle Indies Expo during PAX West. Seattle Indies and the IGDA have been a great way for our team to learn and grow from the wealth of knowledge this community holds, as well as share our own knowledge along the way. At the heart of PlayEveryWare is a passion for sharing indie games with more players, and that passion is shared with the people of Seattle Indies, the IGDA, and the game development community of Seattle.”

Be sure to visit their website, https://www.playeveryware.com/, to learn more about their studio. For career opportunities, the studio is currently looking for super talented game developers to join their team, especially those interested in engine programming, graphics programming, network programming, or are just enthusiastic about console games.
