Letter from the ED – May 2021 – Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebrations
3 May 2021Greetings, IGDA and other members of the game industry,
We have seen undue violence and animosity targeted against Asians over this last year. To combat this, we wish to raise up and highlight the outstanding Asian game developers within the IGDA community.
As this month is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the IGDA will be celebrating not only Americans, but all Asian and Pacific Islander game developers around the world. Be sure to stay tuned on our social media accounts to applaud these developers. Please submit yourself or other developers you wish to see recognized through this form.
We have also launched a new survey in collaboration with a research team from York University (Toronto, Ontario) to assess the impact of COVID-19 on your workplace communication and collaboration practices. This quantitative survey builds on our May 2020 survey and will help us make decisions about how to best support you and your work amid a pandemic. We hope that you will take time to fill out this survey.
Warmest Regards,
Renee Gittins
Executive Director, IGDA
