IGDA Events Cancelled with GDC Postponement

2 Mar 2020

At the end of last week, it was announced that the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2020 has been postponed. Due to this decision, all IGDA GDC-related events have been regrettably cancelled.

We would like to thank our staff, board, leaders, members, and sponsors for their support of the IGDA and our events. The IGDA strives to ensure game developers can successfully pursue their dreams, and it is the support of all of these advocates that helps us reach those goals.

The IGDA is partnering with GameDev.World and Take This to provide additional support to game developers handling the adverse effects of the GDC cancellation and COVID-19 outbreak. We are also working on and looking for other initiatives to support developers during these events, so please contact us if you have any further recommendations.  You can stay up to date to these programs via the IGDA Insider

If these events have affected you negatively, do not hesitate to reach out to us for support. We have resources, connections, and communities that can provide you with assistance to navigate this situation.

As always, please focus on taking care of yourself. We all stand together, but your health and wellbeing should always be your priority so that you have the strength to help others.
