Visa

The IGDA provides advisory letters for United States immigration purposes (O-1, H-1, EB-1) for members and for non-members active in the games industry.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The IGDA only works directly with the attorney, law firm, or studio managing the applicant’s immigration case to facilitate the visa letter process.

The IGDA do not provide full custom/bespoke letters. The IGDA only accepts visa letter requests when law firms or studios provide pre-drafted letters. IGDA will use the draft and include the IGDA reviewer’s authority and qualifications of assessing the petitioner’s background.

RATES
Rates are $500 per letter for non-members and $250 per letter for existing members, billable to the law firm or studio.
Requests for expedited/rushed services incur an additional $200 per letter.

Once all requested documentation has been submitted, the process is as follows:

  • The IGDA reviews the draft alongside supporting materials.
  • If there are no objections: the IGDA will include the Executive Director’s introduction and qualifications as an expert opinion, revise and edit the letter as necessary, and provide the final signed PDF with official IGDA letterhead.
  • If insufficient information is provided: the IGDA will request additional details before proceeding.
