On December 14th, 2023, Mothership proudly hosted its first Demo Day since 2019, marking a triumphant return to this tradition within the CSG Program. Demo Day serves as a platform for students to showcase their projects, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

This year’s Demo Day witnessed an impressive resurgence, drawing a turnout of over 40 enthusiastic attendees. Fourteen student teams and individuals passionately presented their projects, showcasing a diverse array of talent within the program. Notable highlights included Mushroom Quest, Einherjar: Unhallowed Soul, Hellwood, and the ‘New Life’ Commercial, among many others. Each presentation was a testament to the students’ dedication and accomplishments during the fall semester, and they should all take pride in their outstanding work.

Beyond the projects, the event took an entertaining turn with CSG Instructor Emil Harmsen donning a vibrant red wig. This delightful spectacle was the result of a charity livestream incentive held in November, adding a touch of humor and camaraderie to the occasion. Additionally, two Mothership leaders fulfilled their incentives by appearing in charming princess costumes and crowns, further emphasizing the supportive and fun atmosphere of the event.To see these amusing moments, visit our gallery page.

As Mothership looks ahead, the aim is to cement Demo Day as an annual tradition once again. The event serves not only as a platform for students to exhibit their hard work but also as a means of building a strong sense of community and encouragement among peers.
