Hi Everyone,

We are thrilled to ring in the new year of 2023 with some new collaborations, new projects and new resources that we’ll share with you over the coming weeks and months. 

I wanted to remind you that we are still in the middle of our New Year, New Developers membership drive. This is our opportunity to give back to developers who are experiencing financial challenges or hurdles, or who are experiencing challenges in executing a membership transaction. The reason that we’re doing this is because career development and career support networks like the IGDA are so important to our personal and professional growth. I can think of so many times in my own career, where having a connection or mentor who is just one step ahead of me, but still a part of my community, helped me achieve my career goals. At the IGDA, that is very important to us. We are a community-driven organization, and a member-based Association, so we want to ensure that our members and our communities of developers across the world are supported and empowered – and we think that community is one of the most important and essential ways to do that. So, if you can, please consider purchasing one of our options for our membership drive – they range from supporting two developers directly to supporting 60 developers directly. This will go a long way for all of those who need that extra lift in their career.

I also wanted to thank you for sending all of your thoughts and feedback in our Marketing Content Survey. If you haven’t already taken the survey, please do so, as we really value your input and we’re taking your feedback seriously. We want to know what is important to you, what kind of content you want to have in your inbox, and what kind of updates you want from the IGDA. As we get more information, we will make some plans to adjust if necessary, or keep things as is depending on how all of the feedback goes. So, please submit your feedback and let us hear your voice – it is very important to us. Again, I just want to thank you for all of your support throughout the year of 2022. We look forward to collaborating, engaging and supporting developers across the world in 2023!
