  • Derail Valley by Altfuture – Drive massive trains and build your career in a vast open railway network

  • ChipWits is a game for all ages about coding friendly robots with an icon-based language. It features competition, puzzles, engaging stories, and tinkering for fun.

Launched

  • Speglar by Dexterminator is a top-down, 4-player, laser ricocheting cocktail table arcade game. Playable cabinet also located at BrookLAN!

  • Super Space Club by GrahamOfLegend is a lo-fi arcade space shooter to chill to. Defend a vibrant galaxy as a club of misfit heroes and battle endless waves of spacecrafts to the tune of atmospheric beats.

  • Cantata by Afterschool Studio takes you to a far off planet filled with vibrant colours, striking characters and a unique soundtrack that seems to echo through the galaxy. Available August 15th!

Ongoing Initiatives

  • Applications to join GUMBO are open! GUMBO is a non-profit collective of indie game creators located in Dumbo, Brooklyn formed to inspire and motivate each other, stay current in the indie game makers community, and expand an already amazing skill-sharing network.

  • In support of Wonderville, consider becoming a member of Death By Audio Arcade to earn discounts on event tickets, help the team raise funds to build new arcade cabinets and make other cool things happen with local game devs!

  • ANNY Exchange is a Talent Connect Initiative for Animation Nights New York. Want to participate and be added to the database of Animation Talent from all around the world? More info here

  • Animation Nights New York (ANNY) is always accepting submissions for Animated Short Films, AR Animation Experiences, VR animation Experiences, and Interactive Media (including Video Games). More info here

Play NYC – NYCs biggest game convention will once again feature playable games from studios large and small, and from creators old and new at the Metropolitan Pavilion!

Virtual Sundays with Hacker Hours – Free office hours for coding help—any programming language, all levels of experience!

Long Island Retro Gaming Expo – Held annually at The Cradle of Aviation, LI Retro houses over three levels of arcades, hundreds of console and PC gaming events, exclusive exhibits, engaging panels, curated vendors, live performances, and more

 

Tuesday, August 15th

Animation Nights New York Monthly In-Person Screening – ANNY is a monthly curated screening of Animated Short films from all around the world.

Bring Your Own Animation with NYC ACM SIGGRAPH – Bring Your Own Animation is not limited to animated shorts! VFX work, motion graphics, showreels, wireframes/animatics/works-in-progress, even game or VR demos are welcome.

Long Island Game Dev Virtual Get Together – This is a great opportunity to network with game developers on Long Island, share your work, and talk about all the challenges of Game Dev

CCNY Come Out and Play Festival – The Digital Game Design Program at City College will host activities and games for families with children and adults playing together, teens and adults playing alone.

ANNY Virtual Screening: Going Deeper – A mixer and presentation of animated short films and virtual reality animation experiences from all around the world!
