• Tickets are now available for the Game Devs of Color Expo! Returning online September 27-30th!

• The IGDA Game Showcase highlights upcoming projects from IGDA members and partners. These projects are promoted within the IGDA Insider as well as on the IGDA website to help them reach thousands of game developers. Visit here to submit yours!

• Pathfindings 2023 – Speaker Submissions – The IGDA is looking for people from the global south interested in speaking at our upcoming Pathfindings Conference!

• The first round of of speakers have been announced for the Game Devs of Color Expo 2023 Online!

• Noclip has released their 90 minute documentary on the Making of IMMORTALITY, from the award winning team at Half Mermaid!

• The 2023 Game Composer and Sound Designer Survey is open for responses from audio professionals in the game industry! The survey is for freelancers and in-house employees across all studio sizes and platforms.

• The Game Worker Solidarity Project has been collecting materials, mapping and documenting the long history of collective movements by game workers!

• UNBOXING: Play & Profit for the Gaming Curious is a weekly podcast for anyone curious about why games matter in today’s economy. Hosted by Laine Nooney, Joost van Dreunen

• Super Space Club by GrahamOfLegend is a lo-fi arcade space shooter to chill to. Defend a vibrant galaxy as a club of misfit heroes and battle endless waves of spacecrafts to the tune of atmospheric beats.

• Cantata by Afterschool Studio takes you to a far off planet filled with vibrant colours, striking characters and a unique soundtrack that seems to echo through the galaxy. Available August 15th!

Ongoing Initiatives

• Applications to join GUMBO are open! GUMBO is a non-profit collective of indie game creators located in Dumbo, Brooklyn formed to inspire and motivate each other, stay current in the indie game makers community, and expand an already amazing skill-sharing network.

• In support of Wonderville, consider becoming a member of Death By Audio Arcade to earn discounts on event tickets, help the team raise funds to build new arcade cabinets and make other cool things happen with local game devs!

• ANNY Exchange is a Talent Connect Initiative for Animation Nights New York. Want to participate and be added to the database of Animation Talent from all around the world? More info here

• Animation Nights New York (ANNY) is always accepting submissions for Animated Short Films, AR Animation Experiences, VR animation Experiences, and Interactive Media (including Video Games). More info here
