Being on the IGDA LA chapter board is an excellent way to get involved, give back, and make new connections. Most current board members will be available into the start of the next term to assist with hand-off, ensuring a smooth transition, and helping with questions you run into. Plus, you’ll have several other board members to coordinate and work things out with!

Although it’s unclear yet what 2021 will be like, we anticipate some or much of it may continue to involve online events (for networking, panels, and otherwise). You can browse examples of how we’ve done events online during 2020 on our YouTube channel. If you’re new to the logistics of those but would like to learn, others on the board with you and before you will be happy to assist with ramping up on how to do it.

Terms will be for one year, starting Jan 1, 2021. You’ll find all the details on the application form. There are a few short answer questions. Your responses will be visible in the election to IGDA members to help inform their voting decisions.
