Call for entries now open for Student Games Festival 2025!
The first full-scale, independent international festival dedicated to student-made games will take place this October in Warsaw.
Young game creators from around the world are now invited to submit their projects for the first edition of Student Games Festival 2025– an international event dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the best student-made games, supporting aspiring developers in entering the job market, and fostering connections between the creative, educational, and business sectors.
The festival will be held on October 18, 2025, at the Targowa Creativity Center in Warsaw. It’s a unique opportunity to present games to an international audience, connect with industry professionals, meet fellow developers, and gain valuable experience.
Student Games Festival 2025 is more than just a competition and showcase of student games. It features a rich educational and networking program, including talks, panel discussions, and workshops led by experts from Poland and abroad. Participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to start their careers in a fast-evolving industry shaped by emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.
The festival program will also address key challenges in game development education, such as improving teaching standards and aligning curricula with the demands of the modern market. Additional topics will include preventing workplace bullying, discrimination, and burnout.
The event is part of a broader initiative by the Foundation: the International Game Development Schools Network– a new global network of institutions focused on game design and development education, which will be officially launched during the festival in October.
The festival is organized by the Kultura Interaktywna Foundation, founded by two experienced cultural animators – Ewa Maria Szczepanowska and Paweł Miechowski. The Foundation’s mission is to support young creators in developing their talents and building careers, promote cultural education, and position games as a powerful medium of art, culture, education, and social impact.
The festival is supported by organizations including 11 bit studios (main patron), Indie Games Polska, Game Industry Conference, Amnesty International, EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture, and AMD.
The project is co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Creative Industries Development Program, managed by the Center for the Development of Creative Industries.
🎮 Project submissions are open until August 31, 2025.
