Our next Baltimore IGDA meeting is called, ‘Code & Innovate’ on Saturday October 11th from 11am – 3pm at Johns Hopkins University – Pava Center. We will feature two presentation speakers: Dr. Sajid Farooq, and Russell Aasland.
Dr. Sajid Farooq is CEO & Founder of ILHAM at Richmond Virginia base game company. Their team will be showcasing their first game called, ‘Mystic’. Mystic is an open-world survival craft game that draws from diverse cultural and spiritual influences, especially from Middle Eastern and South Asian roots. Sajid has decades of experience in game development and has worked at Microsoft as a Principal Product Manager and Engineer. Russell Aasland is a principle engineer at Midsummer Studios in Hunt Valley. Russell is presenting Unreal Engine 5 Improving Blueprint UX with C++ Custom Nodes. This presentation is great for those who are looking to level up with their Unreal Engine 5 knowledge or if you are just looking for tips and tricks to make Blueprints better with Custom Nodes.
