GAconf, 22nd – 23rd April: A dev conference on accessibility for disabled players, both in person at the Pullman St Pancras Hotel in London, and remotely via Zoom and Discord. Two days of talks and networking, with speakers ranging from AAAs and publishers like Xbox, EA and Guerrilla to indies such as Dlala, Hyper Luminal and Polygon Treehouse, and specialists and advocates including Melanie Eilert, Barrie Ellis and Mollie Evans. Topics include case studies on a range of games and accessibility features, testing for photosensitive epilepsy, setting up a studio champions network, and lived experiences of accessibility in multiplayer games.
