Volunteer with the IGDA @ GDC 2020

Earn your attendance by completing approximately 12-15 hours of on-site work with the IGDA at the 2020 Game Developers Conference!

IGDA @ GDC volunteer montageGDC 2020 runs from Monday-Friday, 16-20 March. Volunteers have a required orientation on Tuesday afternoon, 17 March. If you are accepted into the IGDA @ GDC 2020 volunteer program, you are expected to be on-site from the start of orientation (Tuesday, 17 March) through the end of the conference on the evening of Friday, 20 March, during conference hours. Plan accordingly so you have no conflicts during that time.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of what the IGDA is and its benefits
  • Professional, friendly, and respectful attitude
  • Ability to be flexible, understanding, and patient in a quick-paced and changing environment
  • Provide support for the IGDA and each other
  • Excellent in-person and online communication skills
  • Available from the orientation until conference officially ends (Tuesday afternoon, 17 March – Friday late evening, 20 March)
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Volunteer Schedule Example

  • Pre-Conference Orientation on Tuesday (3 Hours)
  • Runner shift on Wednesday (2.5 Hours)
  • Special Events assistant on Wednesday (2 Hours)
  • Booth Assistant Shift on Thursday (2 Hours)
  • On Call availability on Friday (4 Hours)
