IGDA Executive DirectorThe Executive Director of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is responsible for setting the strategy of the organization in consultation with the Board of Directors and overseeing all operations of the IGDA, functioning as the association’s chief executive officer. The IGDA is the largest professional association for game developers, with over 10,000 members, 111 Chapters and 36 Special Interest Groups around the world, and partnerships with leading companies, service providers, and events. The IGDA’s mission is to help game developers have sustainable, fulfilling careers through connecting game developers to their peers, and advocating on issues that are important to the professional and personal success of game developers. In its mission, the IGDA provides educational and career resources, leading research on the issues that matter most to game developers, and encourage inclusivity, respect, and ethical behavior in the game development community. IGDA Foundation Executive DirectorThe Executive Director of the IGDA Foundation is responsible for setting the strategy of the organization in consultation with the Board of Directors and overseeing all operations of the IGDA Foundation, functioning as the association’s chief executive officer. The IGDA Foundation focuses on supporting a more diverse and inclusive game development community. We believe that every person should love playing games, and the best way to make this happen is to create a development community that is welcoming to, and inclusive of, every person who wants to make games. The IGDA Foundation manages a number of initiatives, including location-specific programs at conferences (IGDA Scholars, Velocity, Next Gen Leaders), the Speaker Diversity Initiative, and the Community and Pipeline (CAP) program currently under development.
