The Game Development Network exists for the purpose of providing SCAD students with a collaborative network of student, faculty, and other professionals that will aid them in gaining invaluable insight and opportunity into the game industry. The group itself is based and holds meetings at SCAD’s Savannah Campus.
Goals:
1.) To advance our members’ understanding of art and design as applicable to game development and the game industry.
2.) To gain insight into the production of games, as well as the lifestyle within the industry through demonstrations, lectures, and discussions by students, faculty, and other industry professionals.
3.) To provide opportunities for our members to prepare themselves for their entry into the professional world.
4.) To promote collaboration within and between the various departments of SCAD as related to game development and externally with other majors related to the field of game development.
