SUMMARY:2023 Japanese Video Game Music Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:Early Bird Registration is now open for the 2023 Japanese Video Game Music Bootcamp\, which will run from July 10 and run through August 3! Tuition is currently $50 off until June 26! \nThe course is taught by IGDA mentor Eric Ye\, a leading educator who has helped mentees build their skills in game audio and gives talks about video game music analysis and composition at conferences such as GameSoundCon and MAGWest. This course is designed for seasoned video game music composers\, students\, or VGM enthusiasts with a music theory background. In the previous summer session\, the bootcamp covered more than 80 tunes\, featuring music from well-known titles and composers such as Castlevania\, Chrono Trigger\, Final Fantasy\, Silent Hill\, Koji Kondo\, Nobuo Uematsu\, and Yoko Shimomura. Students will get the opportunity to study from different types of scores (lead sheets\, form charts\, MIDI transcriptions). Throughout the program\, students will hone their composition skills through essential exercises\, while learning from peers from all over the US and abroad. \nIGDA members will get an exclusive 15% discount if they apply the discount code here! Spots are limited\, so sign up now!
