[edit] Mystery Links
What kinds of pages are the links on this page "Narratology" and "Game Writing" intended to link to? WendyDespain
Encyclopedic articles describing narratology and writing for games. (You may also add more topics. Writing is not my field.) This wiki is also useful for dispelling the many myths and mysteries about game development, and for establishing cases by which others may learn the importance of various topics. Remember that the general public can read the content of this wiki; therefore, we must contribute to the content of the wiki in a professional manner. This includes providing information to readers so that we may all learn from the experiences and expertises of contributing members. Adraeus 07:10, 17 Sep 2005 (EDT)- We put finished articles like that on our page at www.igda.org/writing/ and use this as space for "works in progress." Are you suggesting a different approach? 20:31, 23 Sep 2005 (EDT)
- The general approach will be described later after Jason (or me) completes the foundational documents (e.g., mission/vision statment.) For now, just remember that any discussions between contributors should be placed in the article's Talk page rather than in the article. The article is where you would direct others to retrieve useful information. Adraeus 22:49, 23 Sep 2005 (EDT)
- What I described above is no longer applicable due to the reorientation of the wiki. Adraeus 22:49, 23 Sep 2005 (EDT)

- Under what subject areas would these links belong? Adraeus 07:11, 17 Sep 2005 (EDT)
These are all very important and frequently-used pages that enable the day-to-day functioning of the SIG. I suppose the committee meeting details and agenda could go under the "membership" heading, but that's really a stretch, since they're about the functioning of the committee and not who's on it (as the heading "membership" implies). Possibly the report archives could go under "related articles" but that strips them of their context as historical reference of what happened when. The "shortcuts" are navigational in nature, allowing people working on specific inniatives to get to the pertinent page without digging through layers and layers of lists, project pages, etc. We can use the "Initiatives" section for this. I recommend adding an "organizational documents" heading to the SIG template. We could fit the meeting minutes and agenda there. WendyDespain 20:31, 23 Sep 2005 (EDT)
