Often, the best way to learn about a particular feature of MediaWiki is to find the "meta" wiki page for it. The "meta" wiki for MediaWiki is http://meta.wikimedia.org/. For example, if you wanted to learn about Categories in MediaWiki, you could read (at least the top part of) the Category page on the meta wiki. Since the meta wiki's pages are pretty much the de-facto reference for these features, you'll often see them listed as top search results from Google.

Here are some ideas for continuing your wiki education as you go:

• Use the "random page" link on the left-top navigation bar to check out a few random pages each day. Keep clicking on the random link until you find a page that:
  • Is unlike anything you've seen on the wiki before
  • Has some neat ideas that other pages could/should build on
  • Is in need of editing
  • Several of the above
