Commonly second hand games are sold on online auction sites such as eBay. Certain larger collection of hundreds or thousands of items can sometimes appear, with high price tags. Some collectors will donate material or otherwise give it away too.

- The Software Collector's Mailing List is "a list dedicated to people who collect computer software as a hobby.
