Meeting recap:

Greetings!

I am happy to report that our July meeting went along very well.  We got to meet some new faces this time around, and I would like to welcome our friends at Music-4-Games to our chapter.  At the July meeting we again had 10 attendees, which is I think is great since this was only our third revived meeting.  I want to take a moment to thank all of our members for being so enthusiastic about our local community and chapter, with everyone’s help we can make the chapter a success.

The meeting began with some discussion on how frequent our meeting should be.  The majority vote was that we should have our meetings monthly to maintain interest and keep the chapter as active as possible.

Our topic for the night was “Are consoles going to overshadow PC Gaming?  How should developers react?”  It was a really great discussion and many good points were brought up such as, “It’s a lot easier to program for a console” or “Getting approval for PC Development is easier than it is on a console.”  Naturally the topic see-sawed for almost the rest of the night, but I think we all got to see a little of both sides of the opinions.

I think it is really great that our chapter is stabilizing, and I’m proud to be a part of it.  Thank you all for attending and I sincerely hope that I see you all at the next get together.

Thanks!
