I'm pleased to announce the 2006 ARG SIG Whitepaper is now available for download - http://igda.org/arg/whitepaper
The paper includes major sections on: Business models; Recent Games; Design techniques; Academic research; Understanding the audience; Types of game; Antecedents to ARGs.
[October 09, 2006] Whitepaper - update
Just after the PICNIC 06 conference, the editor of the Whitepaper caught flu; this has put the online publication of the paper on hold, but we hope to have it up within the next week or so.

We will be publishing the 2006 whitepaper tomorrow morning during PICNIC 06 Amsterdam. Courtesy copies will be handed out to attendees of the 10am ARG session.
As soon as possible after the event I'll also post a pdf version here.

[August 31, 2006] Whitepaper 2006 - final stages
As it stands, half the topics are at or very nearly at final versions, and looking very good, and the rest should be getting there within the next two weeks. We'll be publishing the paper at PICNIC 06, which is the ideal conference for this paper ("for all those interested and involved in cross media content and technology in Europe, North America and Asia").
